Golang Job: Java Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Sunrise, FL that is seeking a Java Engineer. Are you a passionate Java Engineer ready to make an impact on a cutting-edge API hosting platform? What You'll Do:
* Design and develop platform features in a Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) environment
* Write clean, efficient code in Core Java and support deployments across on-prem and cloud infrastructure
* Work within a polyglot environment (Java, Golang, Kotlin) and stay open to adopting new frameworks (experience with Vert.x is a plus)
* Collaborate with a 20-member global engineering team (onshore & offshore) to drive platform enhancements
* Contribute to cloud migration initiatives (AWS/Google Cloud Platform)
* Participate in technical assessments and live coding as part of the hiring process

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java development
* Proven experience deploying services in cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or similar)
* Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
* Ability to mentor offshore team members and work effectively across time zones
* Experience with API hosting, microservices, or distributed systems is highly desirable
* Familiarity with Vert.x or other modern frameworks is a bonus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
